Plein Air Carolina

Mooresville Artist Guild

On November 17, 1966, numbering about 20 the group known as the Mooresville Artist Guild was organized--today its membership is over 200 artists and supporters.  The purpose of the Mooresville Artist Guild is to provide art and art appreciation for members and the general public.  Since 1978 the guild has been housed in the city-owned Southern Railway Depot offering exhibits and lectures for the public.

The HomegrownHandmade site provides an extensive listing of arts and cultural programs, events and festivals, and links and mapping information to artist studios, museums and arts centers across the state of North Carolina.  The site is supported as a partnership between the North Carolina Arts Council and North Carolina State University's Cooperative Extension Program.  You can make travel plans for a day, a week-end or full week using the trail maps and search engine services provided.
