Student Volunteers (Grade 8 through Adult)…. Earn school community service and project hours Gain art experience for your student resumé Get to know students, teachers, staff, community leaders, and other volunteers Have fun while helping children explore the arts Our summer programs offer classes for over 400 children aged 4 years through 8th grade. Our art instructors are public and private school art educators, professional artists, and experienced fine craftsmen. Summer volunteers, grade 8 through adult, assist the art instructors, WVAC staff, the children and their families. Volunteers commit to a 5 day, Monday through Friday class session. This commitment provides a consistent experience for everyone. 2011 Summer ARTventure volunteers are needed mornings (10:10-1:00) or afternoons (1:45 -4:30) during the following weeks: June 27 through July 1 July 11 through July 15 July 18 through July 22 July 25 through July 29 August 1 through August 5 August 8 through August 12
