Waterworks Visual Arts Center is proud to present FACES in partnership with Abundant Living Adult Day Services.

This exhibit, now in its fifth year, is a collection of portraits created by area artists.  These portraits reveal the ‘faces’ of those served by Abundant Living.

and

Abundant Living Adult Day Services for providing the artist’s bios

About Abundant Living Adult Day Services

Abundant Living Adult Day Services provides care to frail elderly and disabled adults during the day Monday through Friday.  Services offered include an enriching activities program, nutritious meals, medical supervision, and dignified assistance with personal care needs.  Additional services available include bathing, beauty and barber shop services, and transportation to and from the center.  While participants are being cared for at the program, their family members receive much-needed respite from the hard work of care giving, allowing them to remain in the work force or have time for themselves.

Located at 1416-A S. Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue, the center has over 6,000 square feet of secured space, allowing for safe wandering both inside and in the courtyard.  A full-time registered nurse, certified nursing assistants, activities director, activities assistant, program coordinator and receptionist make up the Abundant Living staff.

A member of the NC Adult Day Services Association and the National Adult Day Services Association, Abundant Living is a Rowan County United Way agency and a ministry of Lutheran Services for the Aging.
