Photography: Darkroom I

July 15-19

Ages 12+ / Afternoons 1-4pm

This camp introduces you to printing black and white photographs in a traditional darkroom. You will learn the basics of film processing, enlargers, control and manipulation of light, and chemistry to produce your own photographs. Bring your favorite film camera or use one of the camera we have on hand. One-on-one assistance is available to help you understand your camera so you can shoot to produce a proper negative. If you already have a darkroom background, the instructor will be there to guide you and act as a mentor for current projects or problems you wish to work on. Darkrooms are fun but can be messy so be sure to wear old clothes.
